Contacted by Shandilab, Tessellation Studio was commissioned to create an entirely new set for Israeli news channel i24NEWS to launch a daily talk show and news program. After several tests, i24NEWS opted to forgo chroma key in favor of a hybrid solution, incorporating LED screens that mirror the set design and the augmented reality extension. The result is spectacular, with a tripled ceiling height and animated augmented reality elements that enhance the channel’s editorial content.
For this project, Tessellation Studio used Aximmetry, based on the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine, which ensures exceptional visual rendering. The LED strip was designed in such a way that it can be used later as an XR wall.
During the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Tessellation Studio also worked with i24NEWS to create all augmented reality graphics with Shandilab. We created an interactive map and dynamic histograms that alternated the percentage and number of voters. The interactive map displayed all the relevant information defined by the editorial team, highlighting the states and providing essential information for broadcast analysis.
